Our uncomplicated, healthy pasta sauce recipes were created by Chef Darek W. Haupt, CEC after a 40-year career as an executive chef specializing in Italian haute cuisine. It was his passion to bring healthy and wholesome products to market so every homemaker and novice chef could produce top-quality meals for their family and friends in a way that previously could only be found in the finest restaurants. Early in his career, he met a first-generation Italian restauranteur who took him under her wing and tutored him in what she called Italian “peasant cuisine”. Our company is named in honor of her memory.
